Moving Bed Biological Reactor(MBBR)

By adding a measured amount of suspended carriers (such as K5 media) into the reactor, the number and variety of microbes in the MBBR grow a lot. This helps the system treat water better. The carriers keep moving and bumping into each other in the water. This breaks big air bubbles into smaller ones, which helps oxygen spread better.<br> Each carrier has different types of microbes: anaerobic or facultative bacteria grow inside, while aerobic bacteria live on the outside. This means each carrier works like a small bioreactor,where both nitrification and denitrification happen at the same time. This improves how well the system removes nitrogen and uses oxygen.and organic pollutants, boosting the overall treatment performance.
